Delivery Driver

SUMMARY

We are looking for a responsible Delivery Driver to distribute our products promptly and safely to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner, to aid in fostering our customer satisfaction as well as profitability.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver a variety of items to different stores/locations, through different routes
• Follow designated routes, taking into account required delivery times and minimizing mileage
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
• Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints
• Collect payments (When required)
• Collect payment for any cash on delivery orders
• Inform customers about new products and services
• Complete logs and reports
• Pack bread according to order sheet, including delivery notes and invoices where applicable
• Use initiative in sorting out any production or order errors to ensure customers get accurate orders
• Ensure any messages are accurately passed on to appropriate members of Management
• Sweep out crates, tidy up the bakery and clean out van after deliveries
• Any other tasks as requested, including running market stalls, additional cleaning tasks, helping with DIY at the bakery, and scope for increased delivery routes.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to handle different types of personalities
• Customer-oriented approach
• Outgoing and friendly personality
• Professional appearance
